Arrangements has gone across to AO3. *slumps*
Arrangements 'verse, the last few chapters.

WARNING!! This is not a chapter itself. This is a summary of where I intended to go with the last few chapters, because I don't think I'll be able to write long fic for at least another year, due to massive RL concerns, and a fandom shift. Some people wanted to know how the story ended, and I didn't want to leave anyone hanging. So. Here are four and a half thousand words of rough guide to the rest of the story, and perhaps answers to some of the questions raised within it.

If anyone has any questions, on the story or why I've not been able to finish it, feel free to ask me and I'll do my very best to answer.

Okay, first, to thank everyone who responded to the last post. I've yet to get around to answering individually, sorry about that.

Um. So, I gather that a) I shouldn't worry so much (*smiles* Thank you), b) people don't really seem all that comfortable with the idea of my handing the story to another author, and c) a number of people would be interested in seeing a summation of what I'd planned for the last few chapters, since I'm not likely to be updating for a long, long time.

Okay. So. I have a summation sort of ready, mostly brushed up and strung together from notes. It's ... four and a half thousand words long, gives most of the plot until the end of the fic, deals with a couple of the big revelations that were due to come up, and, I think, has some of the flavour of the fic in places, for all it's just a summary.

I know some people don't really want to see it, would rather the proper story if I ever get back to it. Unfortunately, I've no idea what that might be. So ... What I was thinking I could do is post the summary with very big warnings so people know what it is, and link it to the last chapter of AV with the same warnings, and let people see it if they want to? If people want to see it at all, that is.

Tell me what you think?
Okay, this is coming from a discussion with someone on WIPs and how ... very, very frustrating they can be for readers. And, given my recent fandom-shift and fact that RL is not likely to allow me to focus on anything long anytime soon, it's unlikely that I'll be able to finish Arrangements this year. Possibly longer, depending on how RL goes. Also, for that, my sincere apologies. I realise I should have said something more clearly, and sooner -_-;

With that in mind, would people ... that is, would people rather if I did something else? For example, handed the story over to another writer, with perhaps an overview of the major plot points that were due to come up, and where I sort of saw it going (keeping in mind that some of the endgame is still rather vague to me)? Or perhaps simply post an overview like that to the tail-end of what's been written?

I ask because ... well, because the longer I go without writing it, the more of what I intended fades from my mind, and I can't see RL allowing me to go back to it any time soon. Someone pointed out to me recently that this is very unfair to readers, and ... I didn't want to disappoint you all, or be rude to you. My apologies again.

If anyone has any thoughts on this, what they might like to see, please tell me. And, too, if anyone has any interest in picking up the story, do contact me?

Apologies for not saying something like this sooner. I was trying to see how RL went -_-;

[Note: It may take me a day or two to properly respond]
Another scene from Interlude II - Gabriel, by [livejournal.com profile] natt_barn this time. And it is AWESOME. Seriously, seriously awesome. Go look!

Gabriel alone in the junkyard
It was meant to be part of a chapter, but it's 3400 words standing alone, so I figured best leave it as an interlude instead -_-; This conversation has been in the works roughly since Operation Apocalypse, and it just ... seemed to fit here? Dean/Cas have been owed an interlude for a while.

Title:  Conversation
Rating:  PG-13
Fandoms:  Supernatural, Good Omens
Continuity:  Set immediately following Trust
Characters/Pairings:  Dean and Castiel, primarily, mention of everyone else. Dean/Cas.
Summary:  Two weeks is a long time to be afraid, and Cas just lost all patience
Wordcount:  3403
Warnings/Spoilers:  References back to 4x16 in partic. Dean is ... not a healthy bunny, this one.
Disclaimer:  Still no, unfortunately

Warning. This part was 5500 words long before it was annotated. Um. It's ... sort of long.

*grins* [livejournal.com profile] bb1128 did some awesome art from Interlude II - Gabriel. See here:

Trust & Faith
*takes a deep breath* Much, much belated, I know. Believe me, I seriously had to wrestle with it. I hope the next chapter won't take near so long -_-; Also, this is the first chapter (and indeed the first of my fics, ever) to have been beta'd, so many, many thanks to the awesome [livejournal.com profile] darkamber  and everyone else who offered. Y'all are awesome!

Title:  Trust
Rating:  PG-13
Fandoms:  Supernatural, Good Omens
Continuity:  Follows on from Gabriel, set about two weeks later
Characters/Pairings: Crowley, Bobby, Gabriel, Aziraphale, Sam, Dean, Castiel. Aziraphale/Crowley, Sam/Gabriel, Dean/Castiel
Summary: They've gotten the preliminaries out of the way, armed the planet, gotten something to use against the Devil ... now it's time for the endgame
Wordcount: 5520
Disclaimer: Not mine
Warnings/Notes: I'm being horrible to Crowley again. Also, there is a small, throw-away cameo from another fandom in there

*snarls in frustration* I've been working on the next part of Arrangements Verse. For about the past two months, dammit, and the bloody thing has gone through about 16 different drafts, at least half of which have been complete start-overs. *growls* The thing has changed POV about six times, changed plot about five, moved around the timeline like crazy ... *harrumphs*

I think I have it, now. A start, at least. I've got the POV locked, and Bobby came in a bit to save me, and it looks like it's going somewhere now. Hopefully. You know, if it feels like it. *fingers crossed*

It's skipped quite a bit, though. Bits of the run-up plot that simply would NOT resolve themselves. I may have to come back to them later, in cutscenes, or possibly ... Maybe I could offer the gaps in story up to other writers? *gnaws lip* What y'all think? *flaps hands a little* I'm sort of worried about it, looking at the chapter start I've just managed to pull together. I don't like how much I've glossed over. But ... seriously, sixteen drafts on, I think I'm going to have to skip them, or I'm never going to get anywhere with this. *sighs* Ideas, anyone?

Oh. One more thing. I've never in my life used a beta before. Not because I think I don't need them, or anything like that, I'm just chronically nervous about showing unfinished stuff to someone else, and sort of ... too shy to ask people, usually. But this chapter ... given the grief it's given me ... Um. Is there anyone who'd like to volunteer, maybe, to give it a look-over once I've gotten a little more than the opening paragraphs done? Um. Maybe? *ducks nervously*

Um. Yeah. Sorry for the rant-y-ness, everyone. Um. Thanks. *wanders off, shaking head at self*
I believe I promised a Gabriel/Sam interlude something like eight chapters ago? They wouldn't fit until now, for some reason. But here we are.

Title:  Gabriel
Rating:  PG-13
Fandoms:  Good Omens, Supernatural
Continuity:  Set just after The Second Plan
Characters/Pairings:  Gabriel, Sam, mention of everyone else. Gabriel/Sam
Summary:  A long overdue talk, an archangel's faith, and wings
Wordcount:  3160
Warnings/Spoilers:  Mention of nasty things during the First War, and Gabriel's wings. Heavy references to SPN ep 'Mystery Spot' (3x16? I think?)
Disclaimer:  Not mine

Gabriel )
Posting from a flashdrive again, and in a hurry, so beware typos this chapter.

Title:  The Second Plan
Rating:  PG-13
Fandoms:  Good Omens, Supernatural
Continuity:  Follows straight from Interludes
Characters/Pairings:  Gabriel, Sam, Dean, Castiel, Crowley, Aziraphale, Bobby. Sam/Gabriel, Dean/Cas, Aziraphale/Crowley, all fairly strong this chapter
Summary:  Some playing in the present, pain in the past, plans for the future
Wordcount:  5365
Spoilers/Warnings:  References in particular SPN eps 4x16 (Head of a Pin) and 5x19 (Hammer of the Gods), but is still AU from 5x16. Also refs the Book of Enoch, and the prelude for the Arrangements-verse
Disclaimer:  Still not mine, unfortunately

Some light, soft angst, I think

Title:  Interludes
Rating:  PG-13
Fandoms:  Good Omens
Continuity:  Follows on from Home
Characters/Pairings:  Bobby, Castiel, Crowley, Aziraphale, Gabriel. Sam and Dean too, but they're taking their turn to be unconscious this chapter. Aziraphale/Crowley, Dean/Castiel, Sam/Gabriel, mentions Bobby/Karen (his wife) and Crowley/female!serpent
Summary:  The angels (and demon) get themselves sorted out while the boys rest and Bobby looks on in bemusement
Wordcount:  4950
Warnings/Notes:  Crowley did more things in the Garden than tempt humans with apples, I warn you. Also, I tried to reconciles GO recorporations and SPN possessions, possibly badly. Just so you know
Disclaimer:  None of it is mine

Okay. I seriously debated ever posting this. It's a POV flip for Big Damn Heroes showing the Sam-Dean-Cas-Zira end of things. It was going to be part of Grace but Gabriel sort of took over that part and it just ... didn't fit. Consequently it's ... not exactly in the best of shape. But I figured, what the hey, and it is part of the canon I've had in my head for their reactions.

So. Here's 1200 words of cut scene for those interested.

Right. I don't know what happened last night, and I'm not sure I want to. This is me, sitting happily back in my feel-good verse and saying screw it. *sheepish* Here you go.

Title:  Home

Fandoms:  Good Omens, Supernatural
Continuity:  Follows straight from Rest
Characters/Pairings:  Dean, Sam, Gabriel, Castiel, Crowley, Aziraphale, Bobby. Dean/Cas, Sam/Gabriel (strong), Aziraphale/Crowley

OMG! [livejournal.com profile] zanzekiel  just did an incredibly awesome comic-style fanart of Big Damn Heroes. Crowley's little moment in the sun, in particular. And it is AWESOME! Seriously. Go look:

Arrangements sketch 1
A little bit of a between-ish part, I think, but there you go. My apologies for the lateness of it. Also, I've just realised this is the first part I've written from Aziraphale's POV. Weird. And Cas only got that one, too. Huh. Obviously I find straight-up angels difficult, for some reason.

Title:  Rest
Rating:  PG-13
Fandoms:  Good Omens, Supernatural
Continuity:  Follows from Grace
Characters/Pairings:  Aziraphale, Crowley, Dean, Castiel, Sam, Gabriel, Anansi. Aziraphale/Crowley, Dean/Cas, Sam/Gabriel
Summary:  The results of Cas' plan, a deal with a Trickster, and where to go from here, at least temporarily
Wordcount:  4559
Warnings:  I may have been a wee bit cruel to poor Dean at the end there
Disclaimer:  None of them belong to me
