The voice that came over the comms sent chills up and down Peter's spine, and it wasn't even directed at him.

"Who am I? I am Susan Ivanova, Commander. Daughter of Andre and Sophie Ivanov. I am the right hand of vengeance and the boot that is going to kick your sorry ass all the way back to Earth, sweetheart! I am Death incarnate, and the last living thing you are ever going to see. God sent me."

Peter blinked at that last bit, in the second before the attack. Truth be told, he'd always spent a lot of time talking to God, especially of late, and he didn't think He had ever mentioned anything like this voice, anything like this woman.

But right this minute, he thought he'd sooner argue with God than with her.
