Alrighty then. Next week I go where internet may not follow (or so my sources inform me), so I'm getting this chapter up before I leave, and warn ye all not to expect me back online for about a week and a half, after Sunday. My apologies.

Gotham Noir: The Man with the Lonely Eyes

Rating: teetering between PG-13 and R, by my reckoning, so rounding up to R to be safe.
Chapt summary: They didn't end up in a seedy rent-a-room for nothing.

Okay, I really, seriously cannot sleep right now. I've hit that stage where you're actually too tired to fall asleep, and I'm hating it. Consequently, my brain is wandering in weird directions. Such as:

Insofar as any two fandoms may be compared at all, comparing ST: TOS and DCU:
If K/S may, veeeery loosely, equate to S/B, as in fearless-leader-with-fiercely-held-ideals / shadowy-pragmatic-advisor-with-carefully-hidden-emotions .... does that mean that S/Mc (for which I nurse a secret soft spot) equates kinda to Bruce/J'onn? As in shadowy-pragmatic-advisor-with-carefully-hidden-emotions / compassionate-but-occasionally-abrasive-healer?

Or has my mind taken another wild and wacky detour to precisely nowhere?
