I think "Night of the Jack o'Diamonds" may be one of my favourite episodes thus far. Which is sort of shocking, since it doesn't have much Artie in it. But it's all ... it's all horse-thievery and bandits in the Mexican desert, and I grew up on TV Westerns, okay? I grew up with shoot-outs in dead-end canyons, and grisled bandits who turn out to be have an honourable streak a mile wide, and men telling stories around campfires in between shooting at each other. It just ... I find it hard to resist that kind of thing, okay? Sue me. *grins*

That said, said surprisingly-honourable-yet-sneaky-to-the-end grisled old bandit? Awesome! It's a hell of a man who can pull a fast one on both Jim and Artie while they're standing there looking at him. *grins fiercely* Sordo, you magnificent old bastard, my hat's off to you.

And Jim, honey, did you ever meet impossible odds you didn't want to stroll up and have a looksee at? Seriously? An entire camp of bandits, and your solution is to stroll on in, beg a cup of beans off them, and then throw exploding cigars while nicking a horse? On your own? *shakes head at him* You're bloody lucky Sordo decided he liked you, mad gringo that you are. *grins*

This show makes me happy, in short. *grins* Can you tell?

I love languages. Even just the little random pieces of them. Like how to say 'please'. In French, it's s'il vous plait, which I think translates more formally to "if it pleases you", which is awesome, and I assume something similiar to the origins of the English 'please'. But in Irish, it's Mais e do thol e, which translates fully to "if it is your will", which ... tickles the part of me that just really loves a nice formal turn of phrase. *grins* Not that English doesn't have a few nice formal phrases of its own, you understand. I just love how, with other languages, what gets translated to a nice flat English 'please' is something much prettier in reality. Heh.
