You know your day is going to be crap when what wakes you up is the burgeoning pain and nausea of a migraine, followed by two hours scrunched in a ball with your head shoved somewhere dark (I find that lying with my legs tucked under me so that they put pressure up along my sides helps with the nausea).
Painkillers are kicking in now (do you know how hard it is to take pills when you're nauseous to start with?), but the left side of my head is still tender and achey, and I keep having the urge to cover my left eye with my palm, so the light won't get in. (I used to scare people when I had migraine, because I tend to be wandering around the house with my hand over my eye afterwards, and people think I've done something to it. Most of them know what it is by now).
Seriously, though? Are migraines supposed to start when you're still asleep? I really, really hate getting woken up by pain :(
