My mother is tidying the bookshelves (we have a lot of them). She's also, for the first time in years, dusting the books. Not the shelves, they're done a bit more often, but the books.
And, I knew this, but ... Books collect a truly alarming amount of dust. Seriously. I remember cleaning the less used parts of the reference section at the public library. Books can be really, really filthy things, sometimes. Heh. If you don't take regular care of them.
