I'm in a mood to be happy with the world today. *grin* Don't know why. I just am.
They fixed the fountains in the park. But they didn't clean them up first, so they're cracked and mossy and overgrown, and the faces carved into the sides peer out at you through the green and the water, and the splashing sounds light up the whole park. It's sunny out, and the noise of water through the green just makes it special.
I love the feeling of walking in bare feet on slightly damp earth. How it seems to sink beneath you just a little, and is pleasantly cool, but isn't so wet it clings to you, so it's just like it's trying to cushion your feet in gentle cool.
I love the sound of bare feet climbing a metal stairs. The little echoey pad-pad-pad. And big-band jazz. What a sound!
I bought a book today, on impulse, at random, because when I'm happy I buy things. It's called 'The Ingenious Edgar Jones'. I look forward to reading it.
I bought an apple, too, which I'm just eating. It's good. *grin*
*beams happily* Today is a good day for me. I'm wishing it towards all of you, because such a day as this is meant to be shared!
