I did it right. I did it right. I don't know how, or what I said to make it right, but I managed to explain to my lecturer why I haven't got his essay in a way that he understood, so that I didn't ... I didn't sound like some lazy bitch who doesn't want to work, or ... or some uesless, broken little thing. I managed to do it so he treated me like a responsible person with a problem. I managed to do that. I don't know how, but I did. I have time. Maybe he can help me find some other way to make up the mark, he said, if I really don't manage to get me head back into effing gear by the limit he set.

I managed to say I'm broken without sounding stupid or whiny or fake or pitiful. I managed that. I managed it.

I've been freaking out for the past three days, waiting for tomorrow to kill me when I have to turn it in, and then coming back from lunch he was passing and I just ... I managed to explain, and now tomorrow isn't going to break me all over. *grins in relief* It's like I just got walked back down the steps up to the gallows.
