The river burst its banks in the night. We're flooded. Can't leave the house. Literally. Surrounded by water, unless we have thigh-high waders or are willing to climb roofs. Which I am, but I think they arrest you for that, and besides. I only need to go to the shop. We have power here. Might not have water, though. Heard the main water plant for the city got flooded out, so don't know there. But we've power, and can boil what water comes it, so as long as we have that I just have to get me some food in, just in case.
Tide goes down proper in about another hour or two. If it's down far enough, I might try for the shops then. There's a Mace up past College Rd, well up on the river bluff, that should be open.
