Okay, first, to thank everyone who responded to the last post. I've yet to get around to answering individually, sorry about that.

Um. So, I gather that a) I shouldn't worry so much (*smiles* Thank you), b) people don't really seem all that comfortable with the idea of my handing the story to another author, and c) a number of people would be interested in seeing a summation of what I'd planned for the last few chapters, since I'm not likely to be updating for a long, long time.

Okay. So. I have a summation sort of ready, mostly brushed up and strung together from notes. It's ... four and a half thousand words long, gives most of the plot until the end of the fic, deals with a couple of the big revelations that were due to come up, and, I think, has some of the flavour of the fic in places, for all it's just a summary.

I know some people don't really want to see it, would rather the proper story if I ever get back to it. Unfortunately, I've no idea what that might be. So ... What I was thinking I could do is post the summary with very big warnings so people know what it is, and link it to the last chapter of AV with the same warnings, and let people see it if they want to? If people want to see it at all, that is.

Tell me what you think?
Arrangements 'verse, the last few chapters.

WARNING!! This is not a chapter itself. This is a summary of where I intended to go with the last few chapters, because I don't think I'll be able to write long fic for at least another year, due to massive RL concerns, and a fandom shift. Some people wanted to know how the story ended, and I didn't want to leave anyone hanging. So. Here are four and a half thousand words of rough guide to the rest of the story, and perhaps answers to some of the questions raised within it.

If anyone has any questions, on the story or why I've not been able to finish it, feel free to ask me and I'll do my very best to answer.

Some relatively random musing on writing, characters and faces:

People having been talking to me about poetry all day, for some reason. War poetry, Sassoon, Wilfred Owen. And me at other people. Donne. Hopkins. So, perhaps naturally, I reread a few of my favourites. And this ... This is Holy Sonnet I, by John Donne. It's my favourite of his sonnets, for the sheer desperation and adoration in it:

THOU hast made me, and shall Thy work decay ?
Repair me now, for now mine end doth haste ;
I run to death, and Death meets me as fast,
And all my pleasures are like yesterday.
I dare not move my dim eyes any way ;
Despair behind, and Death before doth cast
Such terror, and my feeble flesh doth waste
By sin in it, which it towards hell doth weigh.
Only Thou art above, and when towards Thee
By Thy leave I can look, I rise again ;
But our old subtle foe so tempteth me,
That not one hour myself I can sustain.
Thy grace may wing me to prevent his art
And thou like adamant draw mine iron heart

... Only, reading over it, which I haven't done in a while, and with Sanctuary on the brain ... Is that not John, towards Helen? Because she made him, made all of them, with the Blood, and he came to her to be repaired, and the most human he ever is, the most risen, is when he looks at her. Death before ... not only his, but those on the ends of his knives. And the Subtle Foe, crackling inside him ...

I wonder if John's read Donne. *muses*
