Okay. So. This is possibly not the place for this, but I don't have anywhere else at present, so here it's going. Sorry about that.
If you have to/want to deal with me at the minute, in any capacity ... I'd be grateful if you'd read this first. I'm failing badly right now.
Question. Am I retreating from people in general at the minute?
Answer. Fucking right I am.
Question. Why?
Answer. Insufficient operating parameters for functional interaction. Or, translated, I'm too confused at the minute to know how to deal with them.

Um. Forgive the question. Do ... I strike you as accepting? And ... is that a bad thing?
Okay, first, to thank everyone who responded to the last post. I've yet to get around to answering individually, sorry about that.
Um. So, I gather that a) I shouldn't worry so much (*smiles* Thank you), b) people don't really seem all that comfortable with the idea of my handing the story to another author, and c) a number of people would be interested in seeing a summation of what I'd planned for the last few chapters, since I'm not likely to be updating for a long, long time.
Okay. So. I have a summation sort of ready, mostly brushed up and strung together from notes. It's ... four and a half thousand words long, gives most of the plot until the end of the fic, deals with a couple of the big revelations that were due to come up, and, I think, has some of the flavour of the fic in places, for all it's just a summary.
I know some people don't really want to see it, would rather the proper story if I ever get back to it. Unfortunately, I've no idea what that might be. So ... What I was thinking I could do is post the summary with very big warnings so people know what it is, and link it to the last chapter of AV with the same warnings, and let people see it if they want to? If people want to see it at all, that is.
Tell me what you think?

Okay, this is coming from a discussion with someone on WIPs and how ... very, very frustrating they can be for readers. And, given my recent fandom-shift and fact that RL is not likely to allow me to focus on anything long anytime soon, it's unlikely that I'll be able to finish Arrangements this year. Possibly longer, depending on how RL goes. Also, for that, my sincere apologies. I realise I should have said something more clearly, and sooner -_-;
With that in mind, would people ... that is, would people rather if I did something else? For example, handed the story over to another writer, with perhaps an overview of the major plot points that were due to come up, and where I sort of saw it going (keeping in mind that some of the endgame is still rather vague to me)? Or perhaps simply post an overview like that to the tail-end of what's been written?
I ask because ... well, because the longer I go without writing it, the more of what I intended fades from my mind, and I can't see RL allowing me to go back to it any time soon. Someone pointed out to me recently that this is very unfair to readers, and ... I didn't want to disappoint you all, or be rude to you. My apologies again.
If anyone has any thoughts on this, what they might like to see, please tell me. And, too, if anyone has any interest in picking up the story, do contact me?
Apologies for not saying something like this sooner. I was trying to see how RL went -_-;
[Note: It may take me a day or two to properly respond]

I'm sorry, I know I've been posting nothing but bad news and moaning for the last while, but I kinda need to get this off my chest.

I can't do any of it, yeah? Because I'm slow that way. I've about mastered the cut, and a few other bits. But there's one thing I can't do, and I'd really love to be able to.
Can anyone tell me how to do that thing where you hide a link behind a word? Pretty please?

I'm stuck in limbo here, with nothing to do but worry because nobody's remembered to tell me anything. Somebody talk to me? Help me remember why I have an ego?
Quote a bit of my fic at me? Find that one fic of mine that you really like, and find a sentance or paragraph that presses your prose-buttons in the right way, and comment here with it? Don't care how long or short.
Anything will do. Anything at all. I'd just love someone to talk to me.

Right. This will take some explaining. Well, actually no. Basically, random pairing resulting from a meme, that I fell in absolute love with.
Title: Strangers in a Strange Land
Rating: PG-13
Fandoms: DC universe and Man From Uncle
Characters/Pairings: Illya/Katerina(J'onn), vague hints for Alfred/J'onn, M'y'riah/J'onn and Illya&Napoleon
Summary: Set in 60's New York, MFU era. Illya watches a woman in a cafe, and finds a kindred spirit.
Wordcount: 1870
Notes: Makes use of J'onn's female alter-ego Katerina, from my Alfred/J'onn series (http://icarus-chained.livejournal.com/14387.html#cutid1). Events of True Deceptions vaguely referenced, but not really necessary for understanding. I think.
Disclaimer: Neither belong to me. Unfortunately.

Um. Does anyone know if you're allowed to lie down and try to sleep after just stopping a fifteen minute nosebleed? Only, it says don't tilt your head back, and a few other things, so ... Yeah. It's 5am, my pillow is covered in blood, and I'd really like to sleep now. Um. Am I allowed?
Does anyone know what this is? I'm experiencing a sensation like mental drag, or something. I do something, and then a second later my mind catches up to whatever my body just did, and it's almost like I can feel my brain turning inside my skull, trying to track stuff a second after my eyes have already moved. It's ... disconcerting. I'd think it was tiredness, except I slept close to sixteen hours last night, and this wasn't there earlier. Besides, it's nothing I've felt before when I was tired.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm confused, and more than a little disconcerted that every time I move my head, I feel my brain shift a second later. -_-;

I wish to post a test for a story I am writing, based on a dream I had years ago. The Green Lady. There is even a picture (bad) of her in my room. I wanted to write the story, but I need help with the voice. I wondered if you could help me?
In particular, those of you from Southern US, particularly Louisiana or the southern reaches of the Mississippi. At the minute, I think the voice is hovering somewhere between Louisiana bayou, Haitian vodoun, and the vampire myths of the Verdonnes in France. Maybe it will do, maybe I need to aim more in one direction or another. Maybe I'm off altogether. So if any of you could advise me on this, I would be grateful. *bows head*

It's one of those empty days. It's raining, and I'm cooped up, and feeling a little bit lost. The house is empty, and the only noise is the rain, and it's starting to wear a little hollow place in my chest. *hugs self*
Somebody tell me something? Any random thing. Something cool, something horrible, something random and weird. Or ask a question! Anything you fancy. Hell, pick a fight with me if you wish. Just ... something to distract me.
Thanks.

I want to write something. I haven't written anything in ages -I haven't been able-, and I can feel the itching in my fingers that tells me I need to. But my brain is so fuzzy these days ...
Anyway. I want to try something different. And I'm a pretty visual person. So. How about if someone gives me an image (a link to an image), any image, and I write something based on it? Anything at all. I just need to write.
Plus. I love finding new and cool images. Any help with that, too, would really cheer me up.
Pretty please?

Because taking a break from writing apparently gives my muses dangerous ideas about the amount of free time they can expect.
Ask my characters a question! You can ask any question to any character from any fic, and they will respond. Just specify which fic and who you want to answer the question.
Danke schon!

Any Diana fans ... can somebody please tell me where the hell Themyscira actually is? Geographically? I know it's changed a few times, so I'd be thinking ideally golden age Themyscira. Anybody give a girl a clue? Thanks!

I'm being plagued by a nebulous sense of inspiration that refuses to settle on any of my longer pieces. Somebody give me something short to write? Prompt type things? Any fandom, genre or random non-fanfic thought that pops into your head? Can't promise I'll catch them all, but I'll at least try.
Alrighty then. This is an appeal to Those-in-the-Know of the DC fandom. I got thinking about the whole meta-counselling-network idea, and I could use a little help, if anyone is listening.
Musings and questions under the cut. Warning, slightly in-depth:
