*snarls in frustration* I've been working on the next part of Arrangements Verse. For about the past two months, dammit, and the bloody thing has gone through about 16 different drafts, at least half of which have been complete start-overs. *growls* The thing has changed POV about six times, changed plot about five, moved around the timeline like crazy ... *harrumphs*
I think I have it, now. A start, at least. I've got the POV locked, and Bobby came in a bit to save me, and it looks like it's going somewhere now. Hopefully. You know, if it feels like it. *fingers crossed*
It's skipped quite a bit, though. Bits of the run-up plot that simply would NOT resolve themselves. I may have to come back to them later, in cutscenes, or possibly ... Maybe I could offer the gaps in story up to other writers? *gnaws lip* What y'all think? *flaps hands a little* I'm sort of worried about it, looking at the chapter start I've just managed to pull together. I don't like how much I've glossed over. But ... seriously, sixteen drafts on, I think I'm going to have to skip them, or I'm never going to get anywhere with this. *sighs* Ideas, anyone?
Oh. One more thing. I've never in my life used a beta before. Not because I think I don't need them, or anything like that, I'm just chronically nervous about showing unfinished stuff to someone else, and sort of ... too shy to ask people, usually. But this chapter ... given the grief it's given me ... Um. Is there anyone who'd like to volunteer, maybe, to give it a look-over once I've gotten a little more than the opening paragraphs done? Um. Maybe? *ducks nervously*
