There's a specific kind of peace to be had from lying on a riverbank in the sunshine, and watching the water flow by. Watching the leaves tumble beneath the surface, and the strange translucent shadows that the silt casts, and the sunlight playing beneath the surface, and the fish swimming doggedly against the flow, and the strands of weed drifting in serene ribbons from their anchors. Feeling the prickle of grassblades under your shoulders and your back, the warmth of the sunshine across you. Watching other people along the length of the bank, some sitting, chattering, some curled in the shade, some sprawled in the sunshine, unashamedly napping.

A peculiar kind of peace, yes. Something restful and replete. A warm stillness, eddies of the river's flow. The arc of the sky, and the warmth of the earth, and the dark glitter of the water, brown glass drowning the sun's molten reflection.

*smiles* I feel quieter, now. Better. Good for you, is what it is. Peaceful. *smiles*
