Some videos while I'm reviewing my youtube favourites. *grins*

I just refound this vid: Space Girl by Charmax76. And got immensely cheered up again. *grins* The women of sci-fi! Heh. Though mostly what I realised from watching it was that I've seen way, waaaay too much sci-fi in my day, which I suspect was not the main point. Heh. Of 47 sources, I've seen 26, and recognised another nine or so to look at. I'd forgotten that episode of the Outer Limits! The Man Who Was Never Born. Heh. I went on a bit of a Martin Landau spree following my introduction to Mission Impossible, couple of years back.

And this one, following her youtube account: Shawshank Redemption: I Shall Be Free. I think this song will be in my head for a week. Again. But it suits the movie so perfectly.

And now for something different: Anarchy by Balistik94. The Dark Knight, V for Vendetta, and The Crow. A very, very interesting drawing of parallels, makes me muse on how much of morality is dependant on context rather than actions. Plus, on a purely aesthertic level, I love how the editting mirrors body-language and moments across the three movies. (Warnings on this one for violence, it being, well, three fairly viciously violent anarchists)

And finally: The Endless Night: A Valentine to Film Noir by RubyTuesday717. I found this one on a random search for film noir, because I was in a mood, and the song immediately caught me. And then the editting. Moody and dreamy and vicious, interspersed with almost random violence, removed from context and made senseless. Film noir, in short. And the light and shadow ... I love so much of film noir. I really do. (Pacing and timing falter a bit here or there, but I love it anyway). And awesome choice of quotes, there. The ethos of the genre. Heh.
