The theme over on [livejournal.com profile] comment_fic is '50 words'. *grins* So. Small ficlet time. Heh. Adding as I do them:

Good Omens (Aziraphale & Crowley) - Truth:

They sit above the masque. One in black, one in white.

The demon gestures, and what were masks are now faces, twisted with the truth, sins made manifest.

The angel reaches out, wrung pity, a word to undo, and demon catches his hand.

"Wait," he says, gently. "This way, you see yours, too."

Doctor Who (The Doctor) - Suitcase:

"You know, I ran away once," the man says, sitting next to her on her suitcase. "And my friends. Some of them ran away with me."

"What happened?" she asks.

"They went home again," he says, and he's sad.

"Oh," she says. "And you. Are you going home too?"

But he doesn't answer.

Avengers (Loki) - Lies No Shield:

He lies, as he was lied to. The world to mist, to illusion, insubstantial, false, as it always was, as it always will be. He lies, and the world lies, intangible, untouchable.

But hands reach through, and the lies for all their beauty are no shield.

The truth is in the bleeding.

Avengers (Loki) - Victory:

He is his own kingdom, now. No prince, but a sovereign realm unto himself. Though he fell into slavery between the stars, he has tricked his way free. Though he lies in chains, there is mercy in those ranged above him.

Unto himself, so long as he lives, his the victory.

Once Upon a Time (Graham/Huntsman) - Heart of a Wolf:

He wondered, sometimes, if she had felt the difference in it. Regina. She had known the heart of a stag, from that of a woman. Had she known, perhaps, the heart of a man, from that of a wolf?

Seeing James free, he thinks she did not.

Good Omens (Aziraphale & Crowley) - Legacies:

There are wrinkles, in the skin at Crowley's eyes. There shouldn't be. Corporations don't do that. But they're there, soft under Aziraphale's fingers, cupped around golden eyes. A little legacy of Earth, maybe.

Aziraphale wonders if there are any about his mouth, as he matches his demon's small smile.

Sapphire and Steel (Sapphire & Steel) - Illusions:

They are trapped inside a metaphor. He would not find that annoying, should not, but held with only the endless, illusory presence of the enemy, a lunchtime without end, he finds himself fragmenting. Letting emotion in.

With a small, tired smile, beside him, she draws it back out. Sapphire. Steel.

I also received some lovely fills for prompts on Schmendrick from Last Unicorn, the Devil from Chris de Burgh's Spanish Train, Aziraphale & Crowley from Good Omens, and Vincennes & Exley from L.A. Confidential. Heh. They're wonderful.
