Okay. This is basically just a post of random vid recs because I need to clear out my favourites bar a little bit. They're not necessarily all objectively good, but they're all vids that I enjoyed and/or that made me thoughtful. Fandoms are all over the shop as well, to warn you, and there are a couple of cases where I fairly obviously trawled the backlogs of a couple of vidders. Heh. So. Have 19 vid recs in various fandoms?

Random Vid Recs Ahoy

Blue by Kuwadora (multifandom)

The 'name the blue character' vid. Heh. It's just a lot of fun, and I love the elemental sections.

The Adventure by Greensilver (Harry Potter)

Because Neville Longbottom, that's why.

Starships by Bironic (multifandom)

*grins* One of my favourite vids ever. All the spaceships from all the fandoms, and all the crazy and the awesome that comes along with them.

So What by Kaydeefalls (MCU)

The women of the MCU, kicking ass. My only complaint is that I missed Betty Ross.

Scenes From A Southern Night by Colin Legg (astronomy)

I don't know where I found this. It's just a series of photos from Australian astrophotographers set to music, but I tend to watch it when I want to feel inspired.

Matches To Paperdolls by Beccatoria (Great Queen Seondeok)

I don't know the canon for this one, but I love the glimpses we get of the power struggle and war between two women.

Trouble For Me by Greensilver (Haven)

Haven slash. Duke and Nathan and all their screw-up-ness.

With Blood by Beccatoria (Mass Effect)

Someone recommended the Mass Effect game series to me recently, and I've been watching vids here or there. I like this one.

Boy With The Bubblegun by Bironic (Hunger Games)

I haven't actually read/watched HG, but this vid ... the story this vid tells about power and symbols and vengeance and revolution hit me anyway.

Everybody by Kuwadora (Star Trek)

The Borg. Set to Backstreet Boys. I don't even know, and I don't think I care either.

Hook Shot by Kuwadora (multifandom)

Women being physically badass. Fantastic pacing, too.

Oops I Did It Again by Kuwadora (Narnia)

... Lucy/Mr Tumnus. Set to Britney Spears. Again, I don't even know.

Gansta's Paradise by Treonb (White Collar)

Peter trying to save Neal from a criminal's life. I have mixed feelings about this one, actually, but I'm not sure why.

And then a couple from my youtube favourites, because why not?

Bedroom Hymns by Gabygal7 (Downey Holmes)

Holmes slash, but so well done, with the themes of sacrifice and love and, ah, screwed-up-ness. Also, it doesn't diss Mary. I like that.

No Fool, Just Upside Down by Aryotciv8 (James Bond (Skyfall))

Technically 00Q, but I actually ignored those parts of the vid. The rest of it, you see, is a fabulous character study of Daniel Craig's Bond.

Lights by Talitha78 (Person of Interest)

Basically how Finch gave Reese a family again, and a reason to live through the people they help.

Renegade by RHCinderella (Alias Smith & Jones)

All the trouble our two adorable outlaws get into while trying to go straight. There's a section of voiceover in the middle, lines from the show over the music, which might be annoying but it does explain what Heyes & Curry are trying to do and the conflicting views on it (and them).

Keystrokes by HRS1812 (Tron: Legacy)

This one is hard to follow, I think (no lyrics). It's fascinating, though, for the way it creates visual echoes and then conflicts between the two sides.

And to finish, by the same vidder:

Fascinating by HRS1812 (Trek TOS)

Spock saying fascinating a lot. He and McCoy have the best expressions.

Phew! Okay. That ought to have cleared the decks a little. Heh. Enjoy.
