Questions:
1) Do you remember the episode/scene/chapter that you first started shipping #5?
Much like Rick himself, I think it was the "I ... am a librarian!" scene. I have all the love in the universe for Evie, and in that moment it was obvious that Rick did as well.
2) Have you ever read fanfiction of #2?
Yes. It's a small fandom, but there are gems in it.
3) If #3 were to suddenly break up today, what would your reaction be?
Meaning if someone went back in time and decided that they didn't sail into the West together? I would get my own time machine andstab them change it right back.
4) Why is #1 so important?
Because it is the most gleefully twisted, violent and genuinely tender sociopathic spy romance that I've ever seen and it made me deliriously happy.
5) Is #4 a funny ship or a serious ship?
Depends on the moment in canon. Spock and McCoy could be hilarious together, and then things like 'Miri' or 'The Empath' or 'Wrath of Khan' happened. So. You know. Both.
6) Out of all your ships listed, which ship has the most chemistry?
I'll give this one to Spock/McCoy, because there were a few scenes where there were damn near literal sparks happening.
7) Of all the ships, which ship has the strongest bond?
... Harder, but I think I'll give it to either Ivan/Victoria or Gen/Irene, on the grounds that they both survived one partner maiming/almost killing the other, and indeed became stronger for it. If your bond can survive your beloved up and torturing or almost murdering you, it can survive pretty much anything.
8) How many times have you read/watched #2's canon?
All four books in a row, twice. Individual books, especially 'King of Attolia', about a dozen -_-;
9) Which ship lasted longest?
In terms of time, Legolas/Gimli, I think? They spent the rest of Gimli's life together, and with a dwarven lifespan that was quite a while.
10) How many times, if ever, has #5 broken up?
Never? They've been cheerful married badasses together since the first movie. I mean, you could maybe count Evelyn's brief death in 'Mummy Returns' as an involuntary break up, but really they've been solid from the first.
11) If the world was suddenly thrust into a zombie apocalypse, which ship would make it out alive, #1 or #3?
Ivan/Victoria or Gimli/Legolas ... either or, really? I'd probably have to give the edge to the Middle Earth duo, they specialise in melee combat and Legolas' freakish aim gives them a pretty clear advantage, as does their world's 'everybody carries a sword and decapitates orcs as a matter of course' post-war vibe. Our favourite sociopathic spies wouldn't do too badly either, though.
12) Did #4 ever have to hide their relationship for any reason?
Depends. Obviously nothing official since they're not canon, but are we counting all the years they spent pretending they didn't even like each other in between regularly doing crazy shit to save each other's lives?
13) Are #5 still together?
Yup. Rick/Evie forever. Possibly literally, given that reincarnation is a real thing in their setting.
14) If all five ships were put into a couple's Hunger Games, which couple would win?
... All of them, because whoever forced this lot into a politically motivated death arena is going to very shortly regret it when all of them gang up and start the revolution. Especially Gen and Irene. You don't want to enter a politics fight with those two. If you've gotten Gen into the arena at all, it's because he wanted you to, and the rest of the candidates are the people he needs to break you open.
If we take it straight, though, that they really are fighting to the death, then I think I'll give it to Gimli and Legolas again, with Victoria or Eugenides as the wild card options. Gimli & Legolas have the melee edge, but Victoria's an ambush predatory, and Gen has both massive melee skills and a lot of planning talent.
15) Has anyone ever tried to sabotage #5s ship?
Not really? I mean, Ankh-su-namun killed Evie, but that wasn't really aimed at the relationship so much as at Evie/Nefertiri herself. Most people in the setting are more admiring of the relationship than anything (poor Imhotep).
16) Which ship(s) would you defend to the death and beyond?
All of them, but Spock/McCoy in particular because it often gets shafted in favour of Kirk/Spock. Which I understand, but still. Spock/McCoy, people!
17) Have you ever spent hours a day going through #3's tumblr page?
Legolas/Gimli? Not really. Spock/McCoy yes, not so much any of the others. Though maybe I ought to look up the LotR pair.
18) If an evil witch descended from the sky and told you that you had to pick one of the five ships to break up forever, which ship would you sink?
... Spock/McCoy. Their universe has done it repeatedly anyway, and much as I madly and rabidly adore them, I'm used to the idea that they'll never get to keep each other, whereas all the other OTPs absolutely must stay together. It is imperative. Nothing must happen to any of them. Legolas and Gimli have to sail into the West together, Gen and Irene need to conquer their world, Rick and Evie ride forever fighting mummies, and Ivan and Victoria have already been separated too long and deserve their retirement together. So ... I'm sorry, my TOS darlings, I'm afraid it has to be you.
