Earth looked like a jewel from space. A turquoise or a chrysocolla, shining blue-green in the darkness. A new home, shared together after loss, and all the more precious for it. J'onn watched it, Clark's arm warm and easy around his shoulders, and knew himself loved, contented, and at peace.

"What was that for?" he asked, bemused, as she pulled back from the hug. It had been a bit sudden, she allowed. Not that sudden, though. She remembered kind words and a coat when she needed them most.
"For being there," she answered simply, and enjoyed it as he smiled.
