Blame it on Bradygirl and Genclay, for encouraging me.

Honeymoon

The transporter made a buzzing noise as it activated, but Lois was far too concerned with the other buzzing, the one in her head from lack of oxygen, because this particular kiss was far more suited to Kryptonian biology than human. But that had never made her stand down before, and Clark was going to be the one to break this kiss if it killed her! And from the way he seemed to be smiling indulgently into it, she rather thought he knew it, too.

Someone coughed, gently, somewhere to their left, and she thought for a minute about just ignoring it, but since she'd a fair idea who was responsible, and was rather fond of him, she reluctantly uncurled her arms from her husband's neck and sucked in a disgruntled breath. Clark smiled smugly, barely panting, and she fantasized briefly about being able to knee him where it would actually hurt. But she could feel J'onn's quiet amusement in her head, a gentle gratitude, and subsided with only a subvocal growl of warning, before turning to see who'd arrived.

"Sorry we're late," Clark rumbled happily beside her, looking out at the small crowd in the transporter bay. Wally hurriedly suppressed a desperate snort, ducking automatically as John clipped the back of his head, and Shayera grinned at her in congratulations. Lois smiled back, and turned to let Bruce hand her down off the platform with his usual self-amused gentility.

"It looks more like you started early," the Batman observed, smirking just a little, and Lois grinned as she leaned in to kiss him.

"Feeling left out?" she asked, tart and with a grin, and he laughed as he scooped her up and held out a hand to Clark behind her.

"See!" Wally grinned. "I told you this would work, even for the Bat! Nothing like a healthy sex life to improve your outlook on life!" Bruce glared at him, but since Diana had stepped up to wrap a shapely arm around Wally's waist and nod, there wasn't much he could do. The Amazon smiled tolerantly at him as Wally made some interested observations about the proximity of her chest armour to his face.

"Amazons have always known that," she announced, in that regal way she had about her that Lois might have envied if she felt she had any need to further impress the men in her life. As it was, she just admired it. Wherever and however it happened to be shown. "There is nothing better to release tension after a battle."

"Indeed," J'onn cut in, and smiled as quite a few of his friends stared. "My people were people of the mind, but the strength and health of the body is not to be forgotten. My wife and I ..." He paused, smiling a little sadly, but it was not a bitter moment. His smile was genuine, and the humour was quick to return to it. "Let us merely say that it is a pity none of you are shapeshifters. The Martian way is ... an experience."

"I don't doubt it," Clark murmured faintly, and Lois had to laugh at his expression, pausing for a moment to nudge Bruce's jaw closed again. It wasn't obvious, but the unshakable Bat was more than a little surprised himself. Probably not that J'onn knew some tricks, though. Lois was pretty sure Bruce, of all of them, had gotten some fairly in-depth demonstrations. It was more that J'onn had chosen to speak about it. More that anyone would speak about it. For a playboy, the man was surprisingly straight-laced. It was ... cute.

"How about you, Shayera?" she asked into the stunned interval, smiling at the Thanagarian woman over Bruce's shoulder. "Could John tell us all a thing or two about Thanagarian approaches?"

Shayera glanced at the man at her side, at the flush that crept inexorably up his neck, and laughed. Grabbing his hand to pull him over to the rest of them, she leaned in to kiss Lois full on the lips, with a little bite to tease. Lois did like that. The winged woman gave Bruce a bruising peck on the cheek in passing for good measure, and grinned when he arched an eyebrow in response.

"Maybe we'll demonstrate later," Shayera murmured. "A demonstration is the most efficient way to teach a technique, and I'm sure ... you will want to try it."

"Oh, definitely," Diana smiled beside them, and the two League women shared a knowing look. Lois glared at the pair of them, silently demanding to be let in on the secret, and Diana winked back at her. Later. When the menfolk are all tired out. She grinned back, and patted the beleaguered Lantern consolingly on the shoulder. He shook his head at her, and retreated to the relative safety of Wally's side.

"Well then," Clark came in, very obviously trying not to grin, and equally obviously about to fail. "Shall we, then?"

Bruce nodded, all brisk efficiency once more, swinging Lois to her feet, and then spoiling the professional image by twirling her on a whim. She huffed as she fetched up in J'onn's arms, glaring as Bruce linked arms with her husband with a smirk, and silently plotted her revenge. J'onn, listening in, looked down at her in stunned shock, and a certain wicked appreciation. She grinned up at him, watching as the Martian features shifted to their natural spiny selves, and took his hand to kiss it. Gentle, with this one. It felt right. He'd earned it.

Arm in arm, mixed and matched, the eight of them moved towards the Javelin bay in a unified circle, grinning and happy, ready for what was essentially their honeymoon. A group holiday, to celebrate a union that had been something of a surprise, but completely a joy. Bruce and John had conspired on the destination, Diana and J'onn and Shayera had brought some ... interesting extras, herself, Clark and Bruce had brought the food (Alfred's cooking, not Bruce's own, thank the heavens), and Wally had brought the entertainment.

It promised to be quite a trip, and Lois hummed happily to herself, feeling it vibrate through the Martian at her side.

Quite a honeymoon indeed.
