1. Why do you like J'onn so much?

I'm not quite sure. From the moment I met him, I was just ... drawn to him. His history, his compassion, the way he holds together and strengthens those he cares about, the loneliness beneath it all ... I love the complexities of him, and the way he has found a kind of peace with himself and everything that has happened to him. And I've always loved telepathic characters.

There is a theory that we admire in others what we lack in ourselves too, in which case J'onn's empathy, compassion, and ability to connect with others make him something of a shoe-in.

2. Favorite 'ship in your oldest fandom?

We're getting in HP territory here, way back when. Back when I actually 'shipped' people ... Severus/Poppy. Because I always felt they were good for each other, and that each knew more about the other than they let on.

3. White or black?

Depends on what we're talking.

To wear, black is the teensiest bit more practical, and some would say stylish, but white done right is awesome.

In chess, I tend to prefer black, but that's because I'm a reactive player, and I prefer to have the opportunity to watch my opponent's first move, get a sense of what kind of player they are, before I wade in myself. A person's first move says a lot about them, and I prefer to see my opponent before giving them a chance to see me.

In art, from what I remember, you use white far more often than black, because black tends to overwhelm very quickly, while white blends better with other colours. (And isn't that a lovely metaphor? *grin* Nice and insidious)

Basically, whichever best suits the goal at the time.

4. What power do you wish you had?

Unaided flight. So much it hurts. I dearly, dearly want to fly.

5. What power would you give the person you care most for?

The selfish part of me says the ability to summon me in times of trouble, because I'd far prefer to be fighting with them than hear about it later, but ... No. If I could give them any power, it would be the power they felt would fulfil them, whatever that happened to be. Because better to help them stand on their own two feet than be hanging off them worriedly.
