For today's theme on [livejournal.com profile] comment_fic:

Good Omens - Wacky Races (Aziraphale & Crowley):

The angel was a miracle driver. Quite literally, actually. The second time the gearbox had dropped off to lie forlorn in the middle of the road like something out of a cartoon, Crowley had insisted. There was only so much he'd see done to a fine car before he snapped.

Avengers - Zodiac (Tony, Bruce, Ensemble):

"So why's the guy who looks like me the paranoid, nervous wreck, and Bruce's doppleganger is the wise, cool cop?"

Tony was considering huffing at the suddenly expressionless faces, putting Zodiac away, when Bruce looked over with a rueful smile.

"It had to be true in some universe, didn't it?"

Captain America - Loyalty (Steve/Bucky):

The place is going up like a firework display, and honestly he can't even really be sure this suddenly perfect Steve isn't some kind of hallucination, but ... hallucination or not, Steve came for him, and he's never left Steve behind in his life, and he damn well isn't starting now.

OR

It's not Captain America he's following, because he doesn't know who the hell that guy is. But the guy who got himself outnumbered and shot at and blown up, the familiar idiot who'd die for you just because you needed him to ... Yeah. That's the idiot he's following.

Person of Interest - Eggs Benedict (Finch/Reese):

It wasn't the food. Past a certain point in your career as an operative, and definitely past a point as a drunkard, you stopped caring so much about what things tasted like. But this ... This was confidence and acceptance and trust, and it was the best thing he'd ever tasted.

Frankenstein - Remorse (Creature/Frankenstein):

Strange, the monster thought. Had Frankenstein always been so frail? So shrunken, so wounded and craven and fragile? Was it only in death, this visage of weakness? Or perhaps ... was it only in death, that eyes could see clear?

"I mourn you," he whispered, pierced remorse. "And shall follow hence."

Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes - Sacrificial (Bruce Banner):

He sacrificed his freedom (his body, his will, his life), to save the lives that stood to be lost if he didn't. Sometimes he wonders, in the endless empty echo-chamber at the heart of the Hulk, if the life he sacrificed wasn't given a little more literally than he'd thought.
