Somebody just showed me the CA: Civil War trailer. And, right now, there is only one thing I want to know:
WHAT. HAPPENED. TO. RHODEY!?!
WHAT. HAPPENED. TO. RHODEY!?!
Why is Rhodey lying broken on the ground being cradled by Tony while Steve apologises in voiceover?? Because, I really have to say, if Bucky or Steve (or anyone) seriously hurt Rhodey, I'm perfectly happy to disown them.
Yes, I know, manipulative trailer editing, possibly not what happened, he might not be badly hurt, it might not have been them, or they might have been trying to disable just the armour to escape because complicated situation and it's not as bad as it looks. I get all this. Just. If they DID hurt Rhodey, if they hurt him seriously for anything less than the most excellent of it-was-self-defense-and/or-we-didn't-understand-the-whole-situation type reasons, I'm done with them. Don't care. Especially Steve. You don't get to trade Rhodey for Bucky because you like Bucky better and still have me like you. End of.
And, okay. I haven't actually been in this fandom for a couple of years now. I stopped watching around Avengers (superhero fatigue) and I've only just been keeping up with the general outline of what's been happening since. I probably should not be so worked up about this. Just. Rhodey. Okay? Rhodey was always one of my favourites. Do not have killed, broken or seriously hurt Rhodey. I will be upset. I will disown people. I do not care.
(For the record, I would choose Rhodey over Bucky in a heartbeat. Not because Bucky is a bad person/character, or anything, I have every sympathy for him, I just loved Rhodey from the first and am always going to pick him over maybe everyone save Pepper and Natasha. And JARVIS, but hey, look what already happened there. Don't kill Rhodey. I am extraordinarily biased, I know this, yes. Still don't hurt him. I will be upset).
Ugh. Okay. I'm probably not able for this. I burned out on the MCU for a reason. I just got shown the trailer and the thing with Rhodey caught my eye. Because Rhodey injured always makes me panic. Nobody hurt Rhodey. Why would you DO that??
