1 - Write down the names of ten characters.
2 - Write a fic of fifty words or less for each prompt, using the characters determined by the numbers. Do NOT read the prompts before you do step 1.

Using the list Jen gave me for another meme, because it was fun:

1. J'onn
2. Londo
3. Sherlock Holmes
4. Isander
5. Selina
6. Watson
7. Barbara Gordon
8. Timov
9. Dowling
10. Vila

11 tiny ficlets, on DW because I can't get the LJ cut to work for love nor money right now. *sigh*

Couple of original snippets from an old notebook I unearthed. Nothing much, really.

Deathless Ones & Alien Brain )
Putting them down before I lose the bits of paper again. I've got to stop writing things on the back of whatever's handy. Although ... it's kinda fun to find a couple of random paragraphs months later, and wonder what the hell you were thinking. And I rather like these two.

A/N: The theory was a kind of planetary telepathy, I think. I mean, telepaths who could hear the thoughts of planets.

Godchild )A/N: And this was me taking the phrase 'star-crossed lovers' to its natural sci-fi conclusion. Mating stars. Lord, the things that go on in my head ...
Wow, that's a busy-sounding post.

First - warning! I'm offline for the next couple of days. I should be back by Tuesday/Wednesday. Ish. Just so's ye know.

Second - new love! I found the scandalously ill-treated show Brimstone, of which there are 13 episodes total, and I adore it. I love John Glover as the Devil. I mean, how could I not? I love the banter, and the snark, and the moral issues of the show. I love the whole thing!

Third - Ficlets! Just six quick little things, in fandoms I don't play in as much as I should. Inc. 2 Brimstone pieces, 1 B7, 1 Holmes, 1 DBZ and 1 Dresden Files. I make no promises for quality!

Pale Substitute - Brimstone, Zeke/Devil, rated PG-13 )

The Long Game - Brimstone, the Devil, rated PG-13 )

Clever Hands - Blake's 7, Avon/Vila, rated PG-13 )

Without Desire - Sherlock Holmes, Holmes&Watson, rated PG-13 )

Demands - DBZ, Vegeta&Goku, rated PG )

He Who Lives By The Sword - Dresden Files, Harry/Morgan, rated PG-13 )

An old exercise of mine, aiming to link three concepts, of colour, eyes and death. I called it the 'Dying Eyes' series. Eight snippets, describing eight different eye colours in a negative light. Some are ruthless, some tired, some evil, some simply uncaring and unstoppable. It was an ... interesting experiment, just an exploration of the dark side of colour imagery.

Title:  Dying Eyes Series
Rating:  PG
Summary:  Blue, Green, Grey, Brown, Yellow, Red, Purple, Black.

Just four alphabetical snippets, weighing in at under 100 words each, exploring pairing ideas. Sorta like character sketches, but of relationships. None above PG. May be considered prompts if any reader feels so inclined, but mainly just me thinking out loud.

And I own nothing.
